When it comes to marketing the main mistake businesses make is to follow a one-step marketing approach in which they try and ask for the sale.

This may work for some customers but if you follow the 3 step approach you may find you close more sales in the long run. 

Step 1 is to offer something for free in return for their contact details.

Step 2 is building the relationship through regular, interesting content that continues to provide value.

Step 3 is nurturing the customer until they are confident to purchase your product.

This is more long tale but makes for longer lasting relationships.
