The role of content marketing is to be as helpful to your audience as possible. Very much like what I am doing now with this advice show.

Content that tries to sell is not helpful.

Even if you believe your product is the best product available, content that tries to sell will turn off most people.

Instead, create content that makes your potential customers lives easier. I know it can be hard to create content that does not self-promote, but doing so will make your brand stronger. It will instil trust and loyalty.
