Iceland asked its residents to open up their doors to visitors to Iceland and experience Iceland like a local.
This included helping locals round up sheep, historical walks, eating dinner with other families, to the President of Iceland inviting you to their home.
This strategy increased visitors to Iceland by 16% which generated £34m in additional revenue. That is huge!
