When you create a Google PPC ad, Google looks at several factors. The keywords you use in the ad, past click though rate of that keyword and the quality and relevance of your landing page.

By creating a well-constructed ad and landing page that is relevant to the ad content, Google will raise your quality score, which in turn reduces the cost per click, giving you more bang for your buck.
