Customers do not wish to be bombarded with email newsletters 4-5 times per week, and believe me that happens.

You must strike a balance of reinforcing your brand while providing content they wish to read.

I recommend sending no more than once per month. This should be sent on the same day or each month. Make it an ‘event’, giving your customers something to look forward to. Something only they will receive for being part of your VIP community.
