The Role

We are a fully remote team with staff spread over multiple countries, united by our passion for travel and digital marketing. We are looking for an experienced professional to take up the exciting role of Head of Content (HoC) at TMA. If you’re passionate about creative storytelling and travel, this could be the role for you!

As the HoC, you are expected to write web content to the best possible industry standards, and to ensure that the team working below you can learn from your knowledge and expertise. You must have experience researching and writing marketing strategies, contributing to client meetings, and managing the content side of our clients’ marketing projects. This is a leadership role, but you will often be required to carry out the necessary content optimisation, blog writing, and any other tasks related to content marketing and SEO.

Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years in a senior content management position
  • Substantial content marketing knowledge and understanding of current best practices, including optimising for search engines.
  • Experience in researching and writing marketing/content strategies
  • An understanding of consumer psychology and a passion to continue learning on the job
  • Excellent writing skills in terms of grammar, tone of voice, clarity, and concision
  • Teaching skills allowing you to pass on your knowledge and expertise to the wider team
  • The confidence and demeanour to be an effective communicator on client calls
  • The ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on content creation
  • Strong organisation and project management skills
  • Native English speaker

Desirable Skills

  • A decent understanding of tourism and the tours and activities sector
  • A good understanding of WordPress and content management platforms in general
  • Experience working remotely and managing a distributed team that operates across several time zones
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Hotjar, HubSpot, SEMrush, Ahrefs, ESP, etc
  • A good understanding of the uses (and misuses) of AI tools as they relate to digital marketing and content creation.

This is a fully remote position. This role is open to candidates who can work during GMT/BST hours.
