In episode #106 I mentioned my thoughts and serious concerns with the new Viator booking platform and how this will make it even harder for tourism businesses.

Viator are not the only ones trying to disrupt the market. AirBNB are ramping up the activity section of their business and Google are also looking at how to take over this space too.

What we are seeing here is no different to how Uber have taken over the taxi sector.

For better or worse, technology moves on and the tours and activities sector especially need to wake up to what’s happening or they will find they will go out of business quickly.

Remember how quickly Uber took over their space. It will not take long for one of the big boys to do the same to you.
